The Early Care and Education program at Greenville Technical College prepares graduates to be competent early childhood educators. We maintain high academic and professional expectations that adhere to the standards of quality set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Students benefit from a first-hand learning environment in Greenville Technical College’s nationally accredited Child Development Center.
For students already employed in the early childhood education field, opportunities may be available for Teacher Education and Compensation Helps (TEACH) scholarships and other bonus incentives.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN IN THE PROGRAM
ACCREDITED FACILITY
Greenville Technical College students have the benefit of learning in a model setting with an on-campus, National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredited child development center serving infants through preschool children of students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. Working under experienced teachers, students plan, implement, and evaluate appropriate activities designed to help children gain social skills, solve problems, and obtain knowledge about their environment. This opportunity allows students to graduate with a broad range of first-hand experience.
The Associate in Applied Science for Early Care and Education at Greenville Technical College is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Early Childhood Higher Education Programs of the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
The current accreditation term runs from March 2023 through March 2030.
Greenville Technical College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate and baccalaureate degrees. Degree-granting institutions also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.
